We can collect and correctly dispose of any amount of pre-removed and pre-wrapped/sealed asbestos waste from your site or home.
Costs:
Approx $75 per 100kg (min 100kg charge).
+ $250 to $400 travel depending on region.

Drop Off:
You may drop off correctly pre wrapped / bagged asbestos.
We cannot accept unwrapped loose asbestos unless it is fuse panels or encased in some other material, or we give it the ok over the phone.

DIY Asbestos Removal Rules
As of April 2025 current WorkSafe guidelines state:
A homeowner, or someone who is NOT a paid contractor (PCBU) can remove any amount of B-Class (Solid) asbestos from a site.
As long as WorkSafe guidelines are followed (Correct PPE, storage, handling). Additionally, no PAID contractors can be used to demolish, renovate or otherwise conduct works on the removal site without clearance certification (requires licensed removal).
NO amount of Friable (A-Class) asbestos can be removed by anyone without a license. e.g stipple/textured ceilings and vinyl.
!!IMPORTANT!!
Note: Handling unwrapped asbestos over 10m2 as a paid trades person is legally defined as Asbestos Removal Works and is notifiable to WorkSafe. Ignoring this is a fineable offence.
Wrapping
All asbestos items MUST be wrapped or bagged correctly.
Bags should be approved asbestos bags – available from: Beacon Safety, Hazi Direct, Safe Worx, NZ Safety Blackwoods

Note: All wraps and bags need to be liftable by a single person, unless you are willing to be onsite and lend a hand loading them into a trailer.
Please tape the bags/wraps closed as best as possible (PVC tape is best).
Do not use tarpaulins, please do not put everything into one giant super heavy wrap – as we will charge for rewrapping anything we can’t lift.
